Only a few members voted in the opinion & interest level polls and it doesn't bode well for future of this icontest. Maybe, we need to regenerate the moderator into someone more clever!
The challenge option that got the most votes was the Twelve Days of the Twelfth Doctor. I think people voted to see it happen, not neccessarily to make icons for the challenge but that's all right. By next weekend, I should have at least the first "day" up. Stay tuned & thanks!

I think that the issue is is that so many people have left LJ. :( Perhaps a sister comm on Dreamwidth might help? Also, I have noticed that when the show isn't airing new episodes, social media participation seems to go down somewhat.

I know, there are only a few icon Doctor Who icon makers around, that's why I posted the interest poll, I hate to be annoying, well more than is usual. ;-) Multi-fandom icontests are still doing okay, at least the few comms that are left, but single fandom ones are harder to keep going. There is a mirror comm, I use it as a back up it's updated when I remember to import the entries to it. https://dwstills.dreamwidth.org/

I think you're a great mod. You're fair and the challenges have always been varied, and interesting!

For my part, I just don't have time/inclination to make icons anymore. But I love to see what everyone else comes up with! <3

I hope you don't mean you want to give up moderating this comm, because you're a great mod!

Maybe it would help participation if the comm was (properly - not just as backup) on Dreamwidth too. If you post on Dw (that's how I write it to tell it apart from DW, which obviously stand for Doctor Who) you can set it up to automatically crosspost to LJ. And if you don't want to have to add up poll results, you can just post one to one site and on the other site you can post a link.
